Home breaker...

The other day down t'lottie I chatted to the field secretary about a piece of fence that's broken and is an easy way for scumbags to get into the field and break into all our sheds. Today Clyde found a piece of scaffolding pole for us to make a temporary repair. I carried it down and started digging... I almost ran away when my spade broke into what I think is a fox sett. I was expecting a very angry fox to come flying out of its house at any moment. Luckily he didn't and we got the fence back up.

Bit of a nothing post but I get told off if I don't update the blog by my daughter!

One including Southport where you see our smily faces
You travel here from Ipswich with ur piercings and tatoos
You come with your stories and always bring exciting news
I hope you like your poem it took good time to write

Well... I got told off last night by my eldest daughter.

It was lovely last Monday when Sam and her freaky boyfriend turned up. A little late the taxi wouldn't go over 61mph all the way. Any sort of hill and it was even slower. One of the first things Rob wanted was a star chart. He bet Dyl that he coud fill one in the few days he was with us. Come back Rob the dog wants a walk and there's drying up to do.

Monday evening Sam Rob and I walked down t'Dove for a beer before going to Pizza Express. Donna and the boys were at footy. El Freako didn't even want a beer... Dump the tea total freak. We love Tesco vouchers. cracking meal for very little cash. Rob offered to pay towards the meal. George said it's ok you can get the next one!
When we got home Rob couldn't sit still he decided he was going for a walk. We gave him Dita and sent fidget arse out of the door. He was gone for about an hour just following the dog. She took him to the Dove! They did try the park first but it was locked up for the night.

Tuesday. I took the boys to school and Dita to the vets for her booster and a manicure. I did a few other chores then had to tip toe round the house until it was a suitable time for El Freako to get up and start his daily routine of cuppa (in a huge mug) then a little trip to the loo, another tea (don't take the teabag out) wash and brush up. Then the final cup of tea. After that the day was ours. By this point it was almost dark! Anyway off we went to town. We passed t'lottie, Rob could of earned loads of smiley faces if my load of manure had turned up, and he owes me one after I put his wardrobe up. Then we marched round town looking for a jumper for Sam. I love shopping. It's really great.

Tuesday evening. We ordered in Chineese sorry Rob it was past the ideal time for your evening meal again. He had to take Dita out again to walk the streets to help his dinner down. And thanks Rob for the meal.

Wednesday. I had to go to work. I'd left a map for Rob to get out of town. (we weren't chasing him away for his odd routines honest!) They wanted to go to Clacton on sea. I sent them a text at 10am to get them up, it was a cracking day. The car seemed to handle that trip a little better, Rob decided that he'd try to limp home in it and get it fixed in Sunny Southport. They didn't find the designer outlet village type of thing in Clacton but had a walk down the pier and round the town.

Thursday. I had work again, Sam n El Freako had decided to go to London to visit Rob's sister. I wonder if she's as weird as him? It was lovely to see them both and he's not really as bad as I've made out... Some people might disagree! He works hard and looks after my little girl so what more could a Father want. Also we don't have to pay for taxi's in Southport! They do look like they love each other.
I had wanted Sam to stay Thursday night so she could come to a gig. Donna and I went but only after I'd driven to the pub just to check it was still on. The Railway wouldn't answer their phone and have been known in the past to cancel gigs at the last minute. I didn't think much of the beer selection or the first band but they tried hard. The second band were great. "The Graveyard Johnnies" from South Wales. I've never seen such a jiggy drummer before. He was jigging all the way through the set. If they come to a town/city/stadium near you go and watch them. I really enjoyed it. It was just a shame that when they asked for requests they didn't take me up on singing "Build me up buttercup"!

Friday. The shit turned up. I had a little session of muck spreading then a kip before work. Bingo we got sent home at 1.30am. Bloody credit crunch!

Saturday. Sleep and work.

Sunday. I went straight to bed when I got in from work only to wake up around three hours later to a covering of the white stuff and an excited Dylan wanting to go out sledging. I forgot my camera but hippy hill was full of families all making the most of it. Dita was a pain in the arse either making pathetic noises when a big dog came near of trying to rip into smaller dogs. She went on her lead.
In the afternoon most of the snow had gone so I shoveled shite for a bit till it went dark.

That's all folks.

Tattoos, Drinking n shit.

October session 08, originally uploaded by Crash n Donna.

This time last week I was waking up at Lisa’s in Northwich with a hangover. It doesn’t seem that long ago.

We were up for some more tattooing by Mr Mythster. I convinced Andy that I should have the Thursday and him the Friday as he’d worked Wednesday night and had only had a couple of hours kip in the van on the way. It also meant that I could drink lots of beer Thursday night, safe in the knowledge I wouldn’t be getting tattooed the next day. I would most probably have still had much alcohol anyway, but in the course of events I ended up on all sorts of shots and boogeyed on down to Karaoke.

So Friday I was a little hungover. Andy had been a little more cautious and was fine and dandy for his day of tattooing. We tried to party Friday night too, but I just couldn’t handle it. We still ended up out til around 1am though – waaaay past our bedtime!!

Saturday we headed off to Southport. It was great to see all of the kids again, its becoming rather regular!! It was a shame that Sophie was poorly and wasn’t well enough to come out. Sat night after all you can eat buffet at China, Katie went off to a party, Ben went home cos he was skint/knackered? and we went out for drinking and fun with Sam. Nat joined us too (along with her broken heart and a very nice little party dress) and after a few cheap beers in Wetherspoons we headed off to the not-very-gay gay nightclub. Honestly, the gays were outnumbered by about 100-1 which wasn’t on at all as we wanted to party with the gays. Hmph. Andy did his best to make up for it by looking very gay, in his gay shirt with his gay moustache. I think he was rather disappointed that he didn’t get chatted up (he usually does).

When the place became jammed with the sort of lads I would expect to find in clubs like Liquid, we decided it was time to go. Rob was waiting back at the flat cos he'd been working and didn’t want to party with the gays, so we joined him for a snooze on the sofa whilst we made him endure X-Factor. (On that note: thought Rachel should have gone over Austin based on their final performance, even though I like Rachel more. Austin’s a great singer, but just isn’t particularly likeable.)

Sunday morning we collected Katie and Ben and hit Maccy D’s for Brunch. Sophie was looking better but still wasn’t quite up for leaving the house. We dropped Katie at work (covering Sophie’s shift) and were homeward bound.

Big thanks and hugs to Lisa and Steve and Sam and Rob for putting us up in Northwich/Southport.

Today, we should have been off to Mablethorpe for the Speedfreaks Ball, but 3 weeks ago, the organiser cancelled it. He stated we needed to return our receipts for a refund, which we did 2 weeks ago. We haven’t had the money back, so last night I emailed him and got the following response:

"Refunds have already started to go out, my aim is to have paid all refunds by the end of November, please be patient and bear in mind that I am trying to reverse nearly a years worth of admin in less than six weeks."

FFS! I could write a couple of hundred chqs, slap on a covering letter and mail them out in a day. Better still, a nice Excel spreadsheet with booking ref, amount and address, mail merged to Word, and Bob’s your Uncle. Think I should offer? I do love a bit of MS Office.

Instead we’re out for beers with Tink and Andi on Sat night to celebrate Tink’s birthday. We’d best make the most of it, cos next weekend Clive and Tanya are off on hols for 3 weeks! As much as I love my kids, I’m not accustomed to full-time parenting … It could end in tears ;o)

(It's Donna, not Crash)
