Just found this on my spaz.

A tin of condensed life since my last post...

Well six months compressed into the next paragraph or two...
Tattoo Jam in Llllllllllandudno was great worked on the Friday so we could get into see that ol rocker Vince Ray and his Boneshakers... I think he must be my favourite band at the mo. Donna had her feet tattooed but you've seen the photos. We had a great time with our colourful friends.

Mads n Ian got hitched great day. Ian cried I wanted a go in the pink caddy. 3 great bands in the evening.

Alton Towers with half my kids + G&D + girls friends. Katie went on Oblivion... Never thought I'd see the day that she was braver than me!

Hols in Cornwall... I don't like being late... We arrived in Cornwall 7 hours before we could get into the camp site. Tried to watch the sunrise at Kynance Cove... Who put the Cove on the wrong side of the country? Well I tried to be romantic. It rained or was grey most of the week. Hey that won't stop us enjoying ourselves. Found our campsite for next year. Not saying where it is or it's name because it's too popular already and we want our plot!

Got home for a few hours and went to Coventry tattoo exhibition. Won't be going back.

Had two days training for my new job. Set up a blog but won't name that either. Don't want a link to this, but the guy training us was well impressed with it and has forwarded it to the director of education to use it as a training/educational tool for others to follow my lead.

Work is slightly more interesting with my new position.

Southport was great this weekend with the new flat and the fireworks. Was good to see ALL my kids.

Rob you owe me a morning digging down t'lottie. Hope the wardrobe is still standing!

Just for Sam …

We were berated this weekend for not updating the blog. It’s not that we haven’t done anything, we’ve just been a bit lazy!!

We had great weekend this weekend. We went up to Southport to visit the kids and we saw all of them!! This doesn’t happen very often. We stayed with Sam and Rob in their new flat. It’s lovely!! I really wasn’t expecting such a lovely place. It wasn’t that I was expecting a shithole, but this place is brand newly refurbished, in a gorgeous old huge house with a massive entrance hall and staircase. It even has a lift – although Sam, (and Len –lol) are on the ground floor so don't need to use it. I’ve had dreams about living in a place like that and I even got a bit freaked out when I walked down the staircase (after using Flat 14’s toilet (Sam & Rob’s currently has a plumbing problem)) and had a deja vue moment and realised the place was almost identical to a recurring dream of mine.

Anyway, less of my strangeness …

We also had a pleasant surprise in that there was a fireworks display in Hesketh Park to mark it’s 140th anniversary. Sam & Rob’s flat is right by said park and so we went over for the fireworks which were really good. The only bad part was that they were setting the fireworks off under a massive tree and I don’t know if they had miscalculated the trajectory, or it was just the best they could manage given that the park is full of trees, but many of the fireworks went straight into the tree, bounced off, and a few even ended up in the audience … not so good!!! We also felt for the ducks who were trying to hide under the water, but had to keep coming back up for breath.

We even had a good experience at Pizza Hut (which is rarer than rocking horse shit). Although we waited almost an hour for a table, once we were seated our order was taken immediately and our pizzas arrived in minutes!!

Andy spent Sunday morning “bonding” with Rob, then we went for a MaccyD’s, again with all the kids before returning home.

Thanks Sam & Rob for having us to stay :)

We have admitted defeat.

After spending 3 camping trips in the rain this “summer” we have had enough. This weekend we were to be going to Mersea Island Scooter Rally. We’ve been keeping an eye on the weather forecast. Last night (and still today) the forecast for the weekend is heavy rain. So that’s it. We’re not spending another weekend in the tent dodging the rain.

Last time we went to Mersea in the early summer, the site was a mud bath. The dog even came away with trenchfoot.

Instead we shall be having a relaxing weekend at home. In the dry. I’m rather looking forward to it in fact!!
